Gladmans Submit Planning Application

Gladman Proposal

As expected, the planning application from Gladman Developments for a scheme for up to 150 houses on the land adjoining Preston Road and Elston Lane has now been submitted. Full details of the application, number 06/2014/0902, can be seen on Preston City Council's Website.

Representatives from Gladmans attended our Parish Council meeting on the 3rd December. There was little substantive engagement - we knew that the application had already been submitted, but not yet validated by the Planning Officers. We did ask and were told that just 15 people attended their public consultation event on the 19th November. They received just one response at the event.

We will be having discussions with a number of interested residents shortly and will discuss the application in full at our next Parish Council meeting on Thursday 8th January, 7.30pm, Grimsargh Village Hall. If you think you would wish and are able to help with the work required in putting up a robust response to this proposal, please contact our Clerk, Sue Whittam - as soon as possible.

The deadline for comments, as stated on PCC's website and in the consultation letters/notices being circulated, is 1st January 2015. We will be asking for a deferral of this date so as to enable us to discuss the matter at our next Parish Council meeting before putting in our own submission.

We will shortly publishing a summary of the key planning points you might want to consider including in any submission to Preston City Council. WATCH THIS SPACE.
