Gladman Appeal Decision

In the words of our Chairman, Lindsay Philipson:

"It's a dark day for the village. We were informed yesterday evening that the Inspector's decision in the Gladman appeal for the development of up to 150 homes on land on the corner of Preston Road and Elston Lane is to allow the appeal, and grant the outline planning permission. His 35 page decision document goes into minute detail on many aspects of Planning law, national and local planning policy and a very recent Court of Appeal judgement. It will take some digesting. In the meantime, our thoughts are with those local residents who will be most directly affected by the decision."

The Inspector's Report is available to read here.
